As the Oceanic Overwatch scene hits another roster shuffling season, it is with deep regret that we are stuck right in the middle of this one, saying goodbye to 3 outstanding players in Degs, KS1 and Jordan. Whilst Degs and KS1 will be forming a new roster, Jordan will be taking some time off Overwatch to focus on his university studies.
Degs has been with Masterminds since our formation, rising through the ranks of the Oceanic Overwatch scene and developing himself, and our team into what we all are today. Degs has proven time and time again that he is one of the top DPS players in the country, providing some of the best Pharah plays we have seen.
Jordan is yet another pillar that we have had the privilege of working with since the beginning, his dedication to this team has been unmatched and his performances show that not only is he a great bloke, but one of the best flex players our scene has to offer.
When we made a significant change in our structure, opening a position for a main tank, KS1 could fill that role beyond all expectations, elevating us into a consistent top 4 position with his incredible skill and knowledge of the game.
As an organisation, our goal has always been to assist in the development of our players to the best of our ability and we feel we have done that with this team. We wish them all the best in the future and look forward to watching them compete.
As a team, we will assess our options and provide an update on our intent soon.
